Interview in SPC about natural skincare

SPC - Soap, Perfumery & Cosmetics is a leading international magazine for skincare, perfumery and cosmetics. The magazine writes about the behind the scenes of the cosmetics industry. Everything from topics about ingredients, the economics of the industry, packaging and the science behind the brands. The magazine recently had an interesting article about how the cosmetics and skincare industries in Scandinavia will grow economically. We were interviewed about how we believe that natural skincare will only grow in the future when we look at our own numbers and trends.

The founder of Norwegian organic skincare company Marina Miracle, Marina Engervik, says that the average Norwegian consumer is aware of the dangers of chemicals and toxins in traditional beauty products. Driven by this awareness, she says, “We believe that advanced natural products are experiencing the greatest growth. “Customers don’t just buy a product because it’s natural, they buy it because it works.” Of course, companies like Marina Miracle have great products. Their most popular products are natural facial oils and serums, Herbal Face Oil and Acne Fight Serum. “Our customers love how these products moisturize and balance the skin.”
In Norway, sales of natural products, such as those from Marina Miracle, are increasing as consumers become aware of the potential toxins and allergens in regular skincare.
Engervik emphasizes their essential oils and healing Scandinavian herbs. Engervik says that customers are transitioning from traditional skincare to all- natural skincare much more quickly. Previous customers would replace a regular traditional moisturizer with one of Marina Miracle's facial oils, or use a serum in addition to a
cream and only some time later switch to a full skincare routine with only natural skincare products, such as natural facial cleanser , night serum, peeling and moisturizing masks : "Now we see that most people are not so skeptical about using natural skincare products and our typical new customer will now buy our largest skincare package on their first purchase, and then get a full-fledged natural skincare routine."
