Marina Miracle shall be an active contributor to reducing the burden and negative impact on the environment and our planet. The content of this document applies to the company and also dictates who Marina Miracle will choose as suppliers/partners and the development of new products. We describe here our future goals for the company and we are subject to updated plans and requirements as an ongoing process.
PACKAGING
In 2017, Marina Miracle changed its packaging and uses recycled paper. The recycled paper can be mixed with regular paper, but will not be less than the recycled paper threshold. We want our packaging to be recycled or composted when it is used up and aim for 100% of our packaging to be recyclable or compostable.
What we do now:
- All product packaging has been made from recycled paper since 2017
- Removed unnecessary product attachments since 2016 (Necessary product information is now placed on the box as well as a reference to the website for more information about the product).
RECYCLING
The packaging station has recycling bins to separate all components of the product (paper, glass, plastic) to ensure that all waste is returned for recycling.
What we do now:
- Since 2020, the packages we send in the mail have contained cardboard filling that we make ourselves in a machine at our place by reusing cartons that come in to us. The filling is subsequently delivered for recycling so that the number of times the cardboard is given a purpose is increased.
- All paper used in the office is recycled paper.
- Electronic invoicing has replaced paper.
- All product packaging, glass, paper, cardboard, plastic must be recycled.

- Obtain environmental certification for the company.
- Improve how we inform and encourage our customers to recycle.
INGREDIENTS
Almost all ingredients in our products are 100% natural. We continue to replace non-certified natural ingredients in our existing products with organically certified ingredients whenever possible. All our products are subject to constantly upgrading ingredients as an ongoing process after the product has been launched. Currently, we have a minimum of 70% organically certified ingredients in our products (started with 50%), and we will continue this work towards the goal of 100%.
All our ingredients are plant-based, renewable and biodegradable. We do not use microplastics, Nano ingredients or any synthetic ingredients that negatively impact the planet or our health.
We avoid the use of ingredients that are flagged as having a negative environmental impact (palm oil or similar).
We never use any ingredients that are tested on animals, and our products are always cruelty free. We are approved by the official green list of cosmetics from the Danish Animal Welfare Service.
We choose suppliers who respect the environment and the animals and people who live there, and we push our suppliers to choose 'fair-trade' farmers/producers. We choose suppliers who are certified by the SOIL Association, EcoCert, USDA Organic, COSMOS standard or DEBIO.
What we do now:
- Certified by the Danish Animal Welfare Association's Green List of 'cruelty free' cosmetics.
- A minimum of 70% certified organic ingredients
- We choose SOIL Association, EcoCert, USDA Organic, COSMOS standard or DEBIO certified ingredient suppliers
- 0% microplastics or Nano ingredients
- 0% toxic or carcinogenic ingredients
- All contents of the bottle are recyclable and renewable, and no mineral oil is used.

CURRENT
Marina Miracle turns off the lights in its premises when the working day is over. On weekends we save electricity by turning off the lights and turning off all equipment that is not in use. Raw materials are used in production, and only low heat (not above 40 degrees Celsius) is used in production, which requires less energy than traditional production.
TRANSPORTATION
If possible, Marina Miracle will always choose sea freight when importing goods. The products are manufactured in Norway. When exporting to other countries, we do our best to ship products to local distribution points to avoid unnecessary transportation of goods.
