What is Angelica?
Angelica, also known as angelica and Norwegian angelica, is a sweet-smelling plant with edible stems and roots. This flower is very similar in appearance to several poisonous flowers and should always be identified before eating. Angelica grows wild in Norway. This plant has long been used as a medicinal plant.
Archangelica comes from the Greek word 'Arkhangelos' which means archangel, due to the story that it was the archangel Michael who told us that this plant was a medicine.
What does Angelica help against?
Angelica has a healing effect on the skin. It has unique properties to treat infections. It is also used for respiratory ailments, fever and flu, and diseases of the digestive tract. The Sami have used this plant for generations as medicine.
