What is rosehip?
Rosehip is a fruit that grows on the rosehip tree. It is full of vitamins C, A, E and essential fatty acids. Rosehip has long been used medicinally for stomach problems, ulcers and osteoarthritis. Rosehip is also used in cooking and has a sweet and sour taste.
What does rosehip help against?
Antioxidants from Vitamin C stimulate collagen production and this reduces fine lines and wrinkles. Rosehip oil penetrates the skin well due to Vitamin A which has sufficiently small molecules to go deeper into the skin. Vitamin A improves skin moisture and also reduces wrinkles and fine lines.
Antioxidants fight free radicals that cause skin damage. Vitamin A, combined with essential fatty acids, helps improve skin tone, texture and pigmentation.
The oil is deeply moisturizing and treats redness and irritation. Rosehip oil is also a good oil for eczema and rosacea.
