We have made our very own muslin cloth through our supplier, Leroma Organics , in India. Every time we launch a new product, whether it's a cloth or a cream, we think about sustainability and make sure that the supplier of the raw materials also operates their production ethically and sustainably. It's important for both quality, conscience and the environment!
Organic certified cotton
We were looking for a high quality muslin cloth made from organic certified cotton for a long time, after several rounds we finally got in touch with our supplier in India. We really like the way they work and run their business and they met all our quality requirements. Their cotton products are organically certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
Ethical and sustainable production
Leroma Organics consists of a large group of highly skilled artisans, 25 men and 20 women, they hire their artisans based on their ability to produce the product regardless of race, caste, national origin, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, age, marital status or health status. If they are skilled and ethical workers but lack experience, they even have a training center where those who need additional knowledge to do the job are given the opportunity to learn this.
They practice sustainable methods when manufacturing their products. They reuse, recycle, and upcycle materials whenever possible.
We are very happy to now be able to offer you our 100% natural and organic muslin cloth.
Why use muslin cloth?
If you haven't tried using a muslin cloth on your face, now is the time.
Our muslin cloth is pleasantly soft, but just coarse enough to be used for a mechanical scrub. Try it with Sweet & Creamy Oil Cleanser. First apply your facial cleanser, moisten the cloth with lukewarm water and massage gently in circular motions. Your skin will be cleansed while you gently scrub away dead skin cells.
Muslin cloths are also great to use when you want to wash off a face mask. Rinse the cloth in warm water, wring it out and place it on your face. Then wash off with the cloth, repeating this until the mask is washed away. Using a muslin cloth instead of just rinsing the mask away in one go will give you a new and relaxing feeling of well-being. It is incredibly comfortable.
The cloth can be washed in a washing machine up to 60 degrees. It shrinks about 5% after the first wash, which is expected of this material.
