Here are 4 tips for foods you can eat to get healthy skin with a fresh glow. There are a lot of superfoods for the skin out there, but here I'm going to show you my 4 favorites.

Always remember to drink enough water, it is incredibly important to keep your skin hydrated and moisturized.

Dark chocolate

Get glowing skin and better health with (a little) chocolate! Cocoa moisturizes the skin, making it more supple. Dark chocolate contains high levels of flavonoids, antioxidants that protect cells from attack by harmful substances (free radicals), and prevent fats in cells from oxidizing or “going rancid”. 70% or darker chocolate contains the most flavonoids.

Walnuts

Walnuts make your skin soft! Walnuts contain omega-3 essential fatty acids, which can improve skin elasticity. Walnuts are rich in copper, a mineral that increases collagen production. Eat a handful of walnuts daily to soften and improve skin texture.

Nettles

Nettle

Nettles (stinging nettles) have an anti-inflammatory effect. They help soothe the skin and improve conditions such as eczema and acne. Nettles are also very detoxifying, thanks to their high levels of antioxidants that protect the body from overproduction of free radicals. You can find nettles in health food stores, but you can also take a trip in the spring and summer and pick them yourself. Put on gloves, cut 8-10 cm off the top of tall nettles before they have started to bloom. When you get home, put them in cold water and rinse them well. Put them in a pot of water that covers them with a little salt, and boil them under a lid for 6-8 minutes. Freeze in portions with the cooking water.

Avocado

Avocado

This incredibly delicious fruit is widely known for being a good source of healthy fatty acids and vitamin E, which increase skin vitality and glow. Avocados also have good amounts of vitamin C, which can reduce inflammation in the skin. Eating avocados regularly can improve the skin's ability to stay soft and supple.
