5 reasons why facial skin requires different skin care products than the body

Have you ever wondered why you can't use body lotion on your face or wash your face with regular soap?
Is this a scam by the cosmetics industry to get us to buy more cosmetic products? Or are there tangible differences in the skin on the face and body?
Here are 5 good reasons why you might want to use products formulated for facial care.

1.
Facial skin is exposed to sunlight more often and is therefore more susceptible to the aging effects of UV radiation. Therefore, the face needs extra care and protection than the rest of the body.
2.
Facial skin is much more sensitive to hormonal changes in the body. Some of our skin problems are caused by the hormone androgen, which can be blamed for the skin producing more or less sebum (oil) (The skin produces sebum through small glands located in each pore on the face). These skin problems occur more often on the face because the face has the highest number of sebaceous glands per square inch. So if these glands produce a lot of sebum it will cause oily skin and acne, if the glands produce too little sebum the skin will become dry and sensitive. Therefore, the face needs its own products that take care of these factors that are not as prominent on the skin on the rest of our body.
3.
Repetitive facial muscle movements that we use to create facial expressions, as well as the fact that the thinnest skin on the body is under the eyes and around the eyelids, make the face much more prone to lines and wrinkles than most other areas of the body. It may be a good idea to use some customized products that can help maintain the skin's elasticity so that wrinkles stay at bay.
4.
The skin on your face is thinner than the skin on the rest of your body, with the exception of the skin on your chest. Therefore, your skin requires care and moisture that does not irritate the thin skin. Feel free to use a natural facial oil that provides moisture and care to the fragile facial skin. 5.
The top layer of skin on the face is called the stratum corneum , it is far more delicate than the rest of the skin. It doesn't take much to damage the skin cells on the face because the number of skin cells on the face is lower than on the rest of the body (excluding the genitals). Therefore, it is important to wash the skin of the face with a product that is gentle and adapted for facial skin. This gentle facial cleanser will both provide care to rebuild healthy cells while removing all makeup and dirt.
