Summer is finally here! The sun is warming up and the days are long and bright. We wish you a great summer with 3 simple tips on how to take care of your skin this summer . Here are 3 simple steps to beautiful and healthy summer skin:
1. Wash your skin with facial cleanser every morning and evening
This may sound a bit strenuous, after all, you are on vacation, but this is so incredibly important. Think about it: You are on vacation and are out all day at the beach, you are wearing sunscreen, you are sweating and there is a lot of dust in the air due to the dry and nice weather. After a long day of this, your skin is dirty and longs for a good cleanse. This is good for your skin and it stays fresh and healthy when you cleanse it regularly. Make sure you have a cleanser that does not dry out your skin, your skin should not feel stiff after a cleanse. We recommend our Sweet & Creamy Oil Cleanser . It cleanses the skin at the same time as removing all makeup!
2. Provide plenty of moisture
Summer sun and salt water can dry out your skin. After cleansing your face, apply a facial oil or serum that will give your skin plenty of moisture (use one of our natural and nourishing oils ). This is especially important in the evening before you go to bed, it is at night that the skin rebuilds for the next day and then the nutrients will really get to work on the skin.

3. Wear sunscreen!
Last but not least, use sunscreen every single day. Use sunscreen even if you are not going to the beach. The harmful rays from the sun are everywhere and it is important to protect your skin against them every day. We recommend using a light and mild sunscreen with an SPF of 30. This will protect your skin throughout the day. However, if you are exercising and sweating, or are at the beach and swimming, you should apply sunscreen throughout the day (about every two hours).

Not sure what to look for in a sunscreen? Here's a little guide on how to choose the right sunscreen for you:
Ultraviolet A (UVA): The longest wavelength of radiation from the sun that penetrates the dermis, the deepest layer of your skin. Sun damage from UVA radiation activates free radicals and promotes skin aging.
Ultraviolet B (UVB): This wavelength of light penetrates the top layer of the skin, the epidermis. These rays cause sunburn, allergic reactions, and skin cancer.
Ultraviolet C (UVC): These rays are usually filtered by the ozone layer and are the most harmful rays from the sun.
Infrared (IR): This is "heat" from the sun and too much of this can affect the collagen and elasticity of the skin, weakening it.
